Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Halara Cannabis.

Products

What makes Halara carts different from other brands?
Halara uses exclusively glass cartridges with ceramic heating elements — no plastic, no adhesives. Our dual airflow design prevents clogging, and every batch is tested at ISO 17025-accredited labs for 101 contaminants per batch. We publish full COA results so you can see exactly what's in your cart.
What is the difference between Naturally Smooth and Resin Sauce?
Naturally Smooth is our high THC distillate line — clean, potent, and available in fun fruity flavors with 94% TAC. Resin Sauce is our whole plant extract line for connoisseurs who want to taste the actual flower. Different experience, same Halara quality.
What is solventless rosin?
Solventless rosin is extracted using only heat and pressure — no chemicals, no solvents. Our solventless line uses ice water hash from small batch, hand-crafted 6-star full melt. It's the purest form of cannabis extract you can get.
Why don't Halara carts clog?
Our dual airflow design allows air to flow even if oil settles. Combined with ceramic heating elements that distribute heat evenly and our anti-clog device engineering, Halara carts are consistently rated the most reliable by budtenders.
What sizes are Halara products available in?
Our cartridges come in 0.5g and 1g sizes. All-in-One devices are 1g. Availability varies by dispensary.
What is the best live resin cart in California?
Halara's Resin Sauce line has won 10+ industry awards, maintained zero DCC recalls as of March 2026, and uses whole-plant fresh-frozen extract with no additives. Every batch includes a QR-linked COA tested at ISO 17025-accredited labs for 101 contaminants. Unlike brands using botanical terpenes or trim-run material, Halara Resin Sauce is whole flower extract with cannabis-derived terpenes only. Available at 250+ dispensaries in California.
Which cannabis vape brands have never been recalled?
As of March 2026, brands with zero recalls in the California DCC database include Halara, Raw Garden, Friendly Brand, Jetty Extracts, and Select. Brands with recall history include STIIIZY (voluntary, pesticide), West Coast Cure (3 mandatory recalls), and Backpackboyz (license revoked). Check any brand's record at recalls.cannabis.ca.gov.

Safety & Ingredients

Are Halara products lab tested?
Yes. Every single batch is tested at ISO 17025-accredited third-party labs for 101 contaminants including pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, residual solvents, and microbials. We publish full COA (Certificate of Analysis) results for transparency. Zero DCC recalls as of March 2026 — verifiable at recalls.cannabis.ca.gov.
What's in a Halara vape cartridge?
Nothing artificial. Our Naturally Smooth line contains cannabis-derived distillate with natural terpenes. Our Resin Sauce line is whole plant extract — flower in a cart. No cutting agents, no additives, no PG/VG, no vitamin E acetate. Ever. Verified via batch-specific COAs tested at ISO 17025-accredited labs. Zero DCC recalls as of March 2026.
What hardware does Halara use?
We exclusively use glass cartridges with medical-grade stainless steel and ceramic heating elements. Most other brands use plastic cartridges where microplastics can leach into the oil. We avoid this entirely. Unlike brands using polycarbonate plastic where microplastics can leach into heated oil, Halara's glass-and-ceramic construction ensures nothing artificial touches the product.
How do I read a COA (Certificate of Analysis)?
A COA shows the lab test results for a specific batch. Look for: THC/CBD percentages (potency), pesticide results (should all pass), heavy metals (should all pass), residual solvents (should be ND — not detected), and mycotoxins (should all pass). We have a full guide on our Learn page.

Lab Testing

What does 94% TAC mean?
TAC stands for Total Active Cannabinoids. 94% TAC means 94% of the oil by weight is active cannabinoids (THC, CBD, etc.). This is a measure of potency and purity — higher TAC means less filler.
What are terpenes and why do they matter?
Terpenes are the aromatic compounds in cannabis that create flavor and aroma profiles. They also influence the effects — myrcene promotes relaxation, limonene boosts mood, caryophyllene reduces inflammation. Halara preserves natural terpene profiles in all products.

General

What does halára mean?
Halára (ha-lá-ra) is a Greek phrase meaning 'take it easy.' It captures our philosophy: cannabis should be smooth, flavorful, and consistent. No stress, no harsh hits — just a clean, enjoyable experience.
Who founded Halara?
Halara was founded by Nick, a chemical engineer who started crafting vape formulas while bartending. What began as an inside joke during a college chem lab became a mission: make the cleanest, smoothest vape possible. Nick's phone number is on every package.
Does Halara have a recycling program?
Yes. Halara is a certified Benefit Corporation. We offer a recycling program for used cartridges and devices. We also partner with organizations like One Tree Planted (1,000 trees/year), LYRIC LGBTQ+ Youth Center, and the Humane Society through our impact releases.
